Bronze statue honoring Jose Antonio Navarro (1795-1871), the Texas patriot and statesman for whom Navarro County was named. He was the only native-born Texan to sign the Texas Declaration of Independence.
Navarro was a pivotal figure in Texas history, serving in the Texas Congress and helping draft the Texas Constitution. He dedicated his life to the cause of Texas liberty.
